Lofty Ideals and Afghan Reality - Is there an “Obama Doctrine” lurking among the zigs and zags of the president’s foreign policy over these first nine months? I think there is, in his repeated invocation of global rights and responsibilities. The problem is that this lawyerly framework hasn’t been applied to the really tough issues, such as what to do in Afghanistan.

Fans of the CBS-terminated TV series JERICHO will recognize the name “Ravenwood.” This was the ruthless mercenary force used by the illegitimate federal government at Cheyenne to subjugate the citizens of Kansas in the aftermath of a massive nuclear attack against two dozen American cities. As with much of JERICHO’s superbly written story line, Ravenwood reflected real-world entities. Private mercenary forces have been used extensively throughout the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, as well as in many other theaters. And as JERICHO correctly depicted, these “private contractors” have largely operated without oversight or accountability. (Can anyone say, “Blackwater”?) For the most part, the American people are unfamiliar with these mercenary forces, because they normally operate in foreign theaters of war. JERICHO put them on the streets of U.S. cities. Now it looks like JERICHO was more prophecy than fiction.

Conservatives and the Republican Party, the party by which conservative values are most often found, are at risk of losing one of the most compelling weapons in their arsenal, a decent sense of humor. Now don’t think for a moment that I am opposed to the righteous indignation, repulsion, and even anger, that has been reflected by the American people to the socialistic onslaught of policies that the Obama administration has attempted (and continues to attempt) to heap on this country and its people. I also reject the notion that victory for conservative values can be won by moderating our convictions and core values for the promise of “peace and tranquility” that would supposedly come from compromising the soul of this country. When it comes to this battle (which is being fought today) for the Christian foundations of this country, for the continuance of the capitalistic free market, and for the protection and security of this great nation against those who would wish us all dead, there is room for nothing short of absolutely victory.

Regardless of your political affiliation, the 9/12 march on Washington, DC, was a sight to behold. Wave after wave of humanity united by a common goal. The last time I saw that many people all wanting the same thing I was in line to use a Port-A-Potty at an all-day outdoor rock concert. To hear the mainstream media talk about it, though, the march was no big deal. Reporting of the march started by saying there were “tens of thousands” of people. Having seen pictures and video of the march, saying “tens of thousands” of people were there is like saying Joe Biden has a slight problem with misspeaking off the cuff.

‘Is Totalitarian Conquest of USA Already Complete?’

As the ruling (no longer governing) political party in the US continues to work fast and furiously to create and pass legislation designed to eliminate any remaining liberties guaranteed US citizens by the US Constitution and create a massive dependent-class of said citizens beholden only to it--and the opposition party ignores its works and sits on its collective derrière--the answer to my question “is the totalitarian conquest of the USA already a fait accompli?” has become tragically obvious.  With Obama continuing to build his ‘you-report-only-to-me’ force of Marxist Czars (seemingly calculated to replace those positions that have traditionally had to pass Congressional scrutiny) and his already expressed disdain for the US’ establishment document, it strongly appears to be so.  But there are even more definitive examples.  Let’s take a look at a few.

Tyranny Watch 2:  Obama Steps up Attacks against American People

Under Supreme Leader Obama’s directive of ‘I’m in power now, I’ve seized your country to destroy it as I choose and none of you can do anything about it’, new attacks (which could logically be called “hate crimes") against the American people are in full play.  Laughing almost as gleefully during his daily television appearance on Tuesday 19 May - as he probably did while he watched his TV showing the masses in New York running from his flyover 747 and two fighter jets - the US Dictator Obama smiled while delivering the news that essentially said that US citizens will probably no longer be able to afford electricity.  With his and the Democrats’ “Cap and Trade” legislation - which will result in a minimum additional $3,100/year/household- Obama is planning to tax it out of existence.

Democrats hold the White House and comfortable majorities in both houses of Congress.  Their new president comes from humble beginnings.  He grew up without the moral influence of a father.  Unlike Gore and Kerry, who were born with silver spoons in their mouths, or even Carter, Dukakis, Mondale, or Humphrey, who came from upper middle class homes, Barack Obama has little in common with presidential candidates of either political party, except for one:  Bill Clinton. Both men transcended their humble roots by receiving elite education and succeeding in electoral politics.

Some people act as if America is about to morph into a European- style socialist state by the time they wake-up tomorrow or at least before they finish reading the latest edition of the New York Times.  These unreconstructed Reaganites have the nerve to walk around carping and complaining that the Constitution is being left in the dust.  Acting as if some extreme leftist clique has somehow duped the American public into giving the executive branch to an inexperienced, unknown commodity backed-up by a shoot-from-the-lip knee-jerk liberal with a rubber-stamp Congress drooling at the prospect of getting five more Ruth Bater Ginsbergs on the Supreme Court.  If you fall for their caterwauling you’d think we had a President who insulted our best friends the Brits, bowed to the Saudi King, and announced we’re no longer a Christian nation while apologizing for America’s arrogance in what he recognized as a Muslim nation. Or one who hung out with Chavez and Ortega as he opened the doors for Castro.  How preposterous!

So the big push has begun!  The big push for socialized medicine in the United States.  Altho, there is little funny about this boondoggle, it is sorta funny to watch the socialists in the US government, including the Obama Administration, tie themselves into knots to avoid using the words “socialized” and “medicine” in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence.  Nevertheless, that is exactly what they are proposing… socialized medicine.  And again, I expect ignorance to overcome logic and sound reasoning as the government shoves socialized medicine down the throats of American citizens and, in so doing, bring about the collapse of the best healthcare system in the world.

A Mandate for Tyranny

How is it that when liberals win elections, even by the slightest of margins, they claim a mandate for the most sweeping change in history? Yet, when they lose, not only is the percentage of the vote irrelevant to them, frequently the issue itself is said to have been wrongly decided - or it is said that the matter should never have been put to a vote in the first place. This is particularly true when a vote of the people (whom liberals don’t trust) overrides one of the Left’s precious activist court decisions (which they do).

The uproar began a few weeks ago when the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a nine page report, entitled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” That official document of an agency of the United States Federal government said, “Right-wing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly anti-government, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
