Last night, President Obama suggested that ASU graduates and future graduates should use their useless degrees to pursue careers that benefit the “common good” (i.e “the state") and avoid trying to be productive members of the business community.
To be fair, graduates with those useless degrees have very little to offer to the productive business community. However, with retraining and much patience “college grad slugs” often can be converted into being valuable employees.
Whatever the choice the graduate makes, they are saddled with horrendous “student loans” and other debts incurred in order to pay the outrageous fees demanded by the College/University monoliths!
Maybe some 70% to 80% of “college grads” make less annual income than non-college grads that learned a technical skill or trade with much less debt incurred.
The big problem is that “jobs that require practical knowledge or physical work” are considered “below their station in life” by most all Progressives.
The 4-year “College Degree” is essentially an elitist scam/ponzi scheme. Parents and Students pay as much as $160,000 for the “degree” and the holder is usually qualified to be a “trainee” because they have no clue about business or social reality, let alone their “major”.
Our “skools” are full of incompetent “professors” and “teachers” that skate because the have a “degree”!
Many Businesses and companies have failed or seriously stumbled because the real talent they needed were rejected because they didn’t have a “degree”.
As the “productive” portion of the country shrinks the American “standard of living” can do nothing but deteriorate.
The poor will become destitute, the middle class will become poor and the upper class will evaporate.
At some point the government will have eliminated its own tax base and will crumble.
The “Nanny State” will become non-viable and the “Welfare State” unserviceable.
The shutdown is already in progress, the President and his minions have publicly denounced the entertainment, investment and travel industries with total devastation to most of all of them.
As those targeted industries shrink, the government(s) lose significant tax revenues and watch unemployment and welfare rolls expand exponentially.
I wouldn’t want to be a President at the helm as the USA devolves into being a “Banana Republic”, it seems President Obama thinks it’s kool?
