Ice Ages Recur Every 11,500 Years
  by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/9/10)

Since ice ages and magnetic reversals appear to occur together, it is entirely likely that what we’re really looking at is the next ice age and, to make matters much worse, a potential magnetic reversal.

I learned about this in an article by Alan Caruba.

Magnetic reversals seem to be much more problematic:

Will the next ice age begin shortly? Depends on what you mean by “shortly” because it could be tomorrow or it could be another two centuries or so. One thing is sure; the Earth’s latest interglacial period is nearing an end.

A magnetic reversal would likely have a devastating effect on planet Earth and, frankly, I don’t want to be around when it occurs.

Some are suggesting the coming December 2012 ”eventmay be related to this cycle.  This link provided for examination.

It is documented that the Mayans’ were extremely advanced in matters of science though little has been settled as to how or why.  Some interpretations of the Mayan calender say that it ends in December 2012.

Certainly some several things seem to converging around the current near time frame, some attention seems to be worthwhile.
